Morgan and Chao present at ARVO

Morgan and Chao both received travel awards to presented their research at the ARVO conference in Salt Lake City. Morgan presented evidence that topical application of an mGlu6 blocker to the corneal surface can reach the retina to influence luminance processing in both the eye and brain, work conducted in collaboration with Reece Mazade and Machelle Pardue at Emory. Chao presented his research characterizing how optogenetic stimulation of the dorsal lateral geniculate nucleus influences acute and long-lasting activity in primary visual cortex, work carried out with the help of Max Cao.
